Terms of Use

These Terms of Use describe how Firefly Realm works and the agreement between you and the operator. Plain language is used here; precise legal wording is pending professional review.

This document is a working product draft. It has not yet received professional UK legal or privacy review. Items shown in square brackets, for example [DATA CONTROLLER NAME REQUIRED], are placeholders the operator must complete before commercial release.

1. Eligibility and minimum age

You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE — UK DEFAULT 13 OR 16 PENDING REVIEW] years old to create an account.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity carried out using your account. Firefly Realm will never ask for your password by email.

3. Permitted use

Firefly Realm is provided for personal reflection. You may use it gently and at the pace that suits you. There are no streaks to maintain.

4. Prohibited use

  • Submitting another person's personal information without their knowledge or consent.
  • Attempting to extract or reverse-engineer the AI prompts, schema or service-side controls.
  • Submitting content intended to manipulate the AI into producing harmful, illegal, abusive, defamatory or sexual content.
  • Attempting to access another user's account or data.
  • Probing, scraping, overloading or otherwise abusing the service.

5. AI-generated content and accuracy

Perspectives are produced by a language model and may sometimes be inaccurate, incomplete or misinterpret what you wrote. They are reflective suggestions, not statements of fact about you. You remain the authority on your own experience.

6. Not a substitute for professional help

Firefly Realm is not therapy, counselling, medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. It is not a crisis service. If you may be in immediate danger in the UK, call 999 or contact Samaritans on 116 123.

7. Your content

You own the reflections you write. You give Firefly Realm a limited, non-exclusive permission to store, privacy-filter, process and display your content solely for the purpose of operating the service for you. This permission ends when you delete the content.

8. Service availability and changes

Firefly Realm may evolve, pause AI generation, change quotas or temporarily limit features for safety, reliability or cost reasons. Where reasonable, advance notice will be given.

9. Suspension and termination

Accounts may be suspended or closed if they are used in ways that breach these terms, harm other users, or significantly endanger the safety, security or sustainability of the service. You may close your account at any time.

10. Subscriptions and payments

The current Firefly Realm experience is offered without payment. Subscription and billing terms will be introduced separately if and when payments are enabled, and will not silently apply to existing accounts.

11. Intellectual property

The Firefly Realm name, design, code and prompts are owned by the operator or its licensors. These terms do not transfer that ownership to you.

12. Liability
